" A friend told me of this compound at Sayulita's northern end, he had a great vacation there four years ago at a friends wedding.I had high expectations that were immediately exceeded upon dragging my bags into my El Nido suite. Kitchen/dining room and bedroom open to the palms, cobalt pool and awesome ocean. It was truly an experience laying in bed listening to the waves kiss the beach, and looking at the stars in my horizontal planetarium!Lucky dog,I was. Stayed three nights, but booked another couple nights before my return to Califonia, two weeks later. My former suite was occupied so the owner upgraded me to the two bedroom house overlooking...quintessential Mexico. Both levels open to the sea,the view made the cocktails taste even better. Not only was the location away from town optimal, the quality of the construction was off the hook. Most windows and doors are radiused and trimmed in canterra, and the woodwork is truly masterful. This is a show piece any where in the world.Obviously a labor of love. I was sad to leave, but I did take a bunch of photos.I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and get off the beaten path.Want a night on the town? It's an easy walk in,an easy crawl home! " Beautiful Spot! We stayed for a week in El Nido and had a wonderful time. The location is beautiful; right on the beach, on the peaceful north end, a pretty walk into town. The accommodations are quaint and peaceful and have the "old world" feeling we like when we go to Mexico. At the same time, we had all the modern conveniences we needed to be very comfortable. The owner is very nice, always helpful and accommodating, and has lived in Sayulita for many years so is a wealth of information about the area. We highly recommend El Nido for your next vacation to Sayulita! "

" We have rented in Mexico before and have been disappointed by people setting up all sorts of plans to meet us, make sure water was replaced, garbage taken, etc. and not having them follow through. This was the OPPOSITE experience! This place is absolutely like its photos and the pool is right outside the balcony and the beach really IS about a one minute walk. You have your own beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach towels and are at the north end of the beach which is remote and away from the crazy town nightlife. It is serene and beautiful. It is a perfect walk on the beach to town or on the road. The owner lives on the property and that is part of what made it great. He is friendly, walks by each day and asks how things are going and if we need anything. We had unseasonably rainy weather - every day! When we asked if there were cards or games to play he said "no" because people actually stole them but the next day there were cards and a crossword puzzle on the stairs to our place! Need a new corkscrew? It showed up. The maid service was included and consistent. The only loud night was not in his control - a wedding party at the property next door happened but that was the only noisy night. The waves lulled us to sleep each night. We highly recommend hiring Suli (not sure of the spelling of her name) to cook for you one night. She is an amazing chef and cooked enough for us to eat for almost the whole week! We want to return to this lovely duplex apartment and would not hesitate. We loved it and appreciated the care he took to make sure we were comfortable. AND the realty company was fantastic. We showed up the first day and they were ready to take us to the place, no problems or questions. GO! Enjoy! We loved the owner. He was so generous and friendly and we felt like, if any emergency happened he would help us. He even gave us a tour of his amazing home in progress. We can't wait to return. We only have two thoughts for the wonderful owner: new pans (these are scratched teflon) and maybe more kitchen utensils, dishes, pots pans, and a mosquito net. We got chowed because of the unseasonable humid weather. "
