You enter Casa Bougainvillea through massive wrought iron gates, descend a sweeping semi-circular stone staircase into a wondrous 40' living room with ceiling 18 feet high, open and wide to take advantage of the gentle Pacific breezes. Underfoot, the floors are hand-crafted tiles set into surrounds of iron wood. Before you, glass-paneled doors open onto deep terraces and as far as the eye can see is the Pacific Ocean, beckoning with miles and miles of virgin white beaches.

The charming dining room is circular and enclosed in glass to take full advantage of the superb views over the Pacific and the cone ceiling, unique in design, is covered in native royal palm; the seating cozily accommodates 10 Guests. On warm evenings dining on the terrace by candlelight, under the moon, with the lazy sound of surf gently breaking below is an agreeable option.

The sparkling modern kitchen comes equipped with every convenience: a Viking stove and oven, GE refrigerator with purified water and ice-cube maker, microwave and toaster ovens, coffee maker, a separate wall oven, purified water and a Texas BBQ Grill. On entering the living room from the kitchen is the Palapa bar. The TV, satellite, VCR, DVD and Music System are carefully hidden away in cabinets.

" Great house and Maria and Erika were amazing We had 10 adults for a week at Casa Bougainvillea and we had an amazing time. You never know how the pictures will compare in real life, but these were spot on. The views and private bedrooms/bathrooms were wonderful. Tamra and Theo were very helpful and great to work with on logistics and were very responsive. Maria and Erika made a wonderful breakfast for us every day (except Sunday). They cleaned the entire house every day, changed out towels and beach towel as needed. The guys caught some great fish and Maria and Erika cooked us a wonderful dinner. The fish was amazing and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. They went above and beyond to take care of us while we were there. The house is in a great location, quick walk to town down the road or you can take the stairs to and from the beach. The views are breathtaking! "

" Our family of 10 were so lucky to have stayed in this beautiful house with a spectacular view. Maia and Erika took great care of us cooking us delicious breakfasts and cleaning our rooms. We had a wonderful staying in this beautiful home. The bedrooms and baths are all private and spacious. The common spaces are so beautiful you almost don't want to leave. Maria and Erika cooked us delicious breakfasts every morning and took great care of us. We rented a golf cart which helped the elders in our group get up the hill as there are many steps from the beach. The location of this house is 2 blocks from the town center, a perfect location. We hope to return and to be s o lucky again to rent this property! "

" Beyond Expectations Our recent stay at Casa Bougainvilla was truly amazing. The home is beautifully appointed, the views fantastic. Our staff, Tomasa & Maria took wonderful care of us, preparing amazing breakfasts for us each day. We also had them prepare a delicious dinner for us a couple of times. The house is just minutes from town. It is a steep walk down and our younger guests had no issues walking back up. We opted for a taxi which is easily caught in the town square. All bedrooms are very comfortable with great bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool in the afternoons. We will most definitely stay in this home again! "

BUT, the great main room allowed all of us to congregate and play family games etc---- Were it not for the comfortable, beautiful home, the vacation could have been a disaster! " My wife and I, as well as friends from Winnipeg shared Casa Bourgainvillea over the last two weeks of January. Here are a few reasons why we loved this home. The house is big, beautiful, and spotless. Wonderful beds, great furniture, and the ART, simply amazing. The kitchen is really well equipped, and there is filtered water in the kitchen and the washrooms. The home is extremely secure, and there are phones and WIFI. Very high ceilings, lots of windows and doors that open means that we never once even needed to turn on the air conditioning. The home always felt pleasant and fresh. The pool was great too. The views from all rooms of the beach are stunning. We were pinching ourselves every morning over breakfast over how luck we were to stay here. This home must have one of the best views of the bay on the south side of town. The owners Michael and Evelyne are most kind and gracious. Evelyne's fabulous artwork is found all over the home. Their staff are most kind and hard working. We felt treated like family. The house is kept spotless, and the breakfasts were wonderful. It is in one of the most walk-able locations in town, while still being private. Directly above the beach its only 2 minutes down the stairs to the best swimming spot on the beach. A walk into town is less than 5 minutes. We had zero safety concerns walking around Sayulita after dark. If you are fortunate enough to find this house vacant when you have holiday time, book it fast. You would be hard pressed to find a more perfect home in wonderful Sayulita. " We just returned from a last minute week long getaway to Sayulita - and how lucky that we found Casa Bougainvillea on your website! There were just 2 couples - and we stayed in the Master Suite and Apartment. Each room is very private and I would be happy in any of the bedrooms. The amazing artwork in every room is breathtaking. The photos are great - but in person it is even better than it looks in the photos. Thank you to the amazing staff: Tomasa, Maria & Isabel. They are warm, friendly and professional. We had them cook breakfast (YUMMY!) every morning - they would ask what we wanted and then go get the food and make it (you pay for the food). We also hired them to cook an amazing authentic dinner one night: Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, Chicken Enchiladas, Chile Rellenos (the BEST!), beans, salad and more. It was superb sitting at the table overlooking the bay. It is a short walk into town or the beach - you definitely don't need a car. Thank you to the owners for creating such a wonderful, warm Villa! Everything is gorgeous! There is not doubt in our mind that THIS is the place we will stay every time we come to Sayulita. "
